The Human Side of Technology Supports Wikipedia

After a while seeing it on their site and after reading a post posted by my good friend Roger of Cynosure, I decided to go ahead and join the campaign of Wikipedia's WikiMedia Foundation.

So, let us say you wanted to know something. A research is needed. Whether it is about an historical event or an influential person, or a TV show information, to whom do we lean on?

I could already hear all of us answer in chorus. "Wikipedia!"

Wikipedia, according to, well, Wikipedia, is a "free, multilingual encyclopedia project supported by the non-profit Wikimedia Foundation. Its name is a portmanteau of the words wiki (a technology for creating collaborative websites) and encyclopedia. Wikipedia's 10 million articles have been written collaboratively by volunteers around the world, and almost all of its articles can be edited by anyone who can access the Wikipedia website. Launched in January 2001 by Jimmy Wales and Larry Sanger, it is currently the largest and most popular general reference work on the Internet."

Throughout its existence, we turned into this source for help, now they need us, wouldn't we have enough reason to join their cause?
Please support Wikipedia and please donate now. Thanks Wiki!
